Capability to generate applications for both mobile device and PC platforms:
- Mobile Devices – Windows CE 4.1 and later, including Windows Mobile 6
- Desktop PCs – Windows 2000, XP, Server 2003 and Vista
SQL Server 2005 Compact Edition – Microsoft SQL Server 2005 CE has taken the place of Pocket Access as the device-side database.
Screen (Data) Design Wizard – This new wizard (available from the Project menu) walks the user step-by-step through screen creation and setup of control properties.
Customizable application icons – Application designers now have the option to customize an application to a specific business or industry by adding a custom icon (new Project “Icon” property), which can be displayed in the application title bar or Windows Explorer view.
Enhanced security for generated applications – A new mechanism was added to ensure that a generated application can only be copied and launched on authorized/activated devices.
IDEAMSync – IDEAMSync has been redesigned and now handles device-to-desktop data transfer (no longer dependent on ActiveSync).This allows for a more powerful solution because device-side databasescan now be synchronized with most desktop-side relational databases (Access, SQL, Oracle, etc.)

IDEAM Mobile Action List

Action List	Description
Operation	To perform a sequential set of simple operational steps that perform tasks like expressions, variable assignment, list clearing, conditional branches and so on. Operations enable the user to create program logic on the level of typical application.
Transaction	To send data in the form of messages to the IDEAM Server. These messages provide bi-directional communication with the various sub systems installed on the server.
FillLabel	To print a label created using CODESOFT or LABELVIEW. This action gets its information based on the data collected by the application. The label creation software must be installed with the POF Print Object File option.
Database
SQL	To execute ADOCE compliant SQL statements against the local database.
GetRecord	To retrieve data from a local database and assign them to application Data Items
AddRecord	To add a record to a local database
EditRecord	To modify a record in a local database
DelRecord	To delete a record in a local database
Import Table	To import data to a database from a text file
Export Table	To export data from a database to a text file
CopyTable	To exchange data between reader and host. It copies all records from defined database table to the host Microsoft access database or vice versa.
